The Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER) is a division within the United States Department of Energy (DOE) that is responsible for ensuring the security and resilience of the nation's energy infrastructure against cyber threats and emergencies. The office was created in 2018 to address the growing need for protection of critical energy assets from cyberattacks and natural disasters. CESER works to protect and enhance the energy infrastructure of the United States, focusing on cybersecurity, energy security, and emergency response coordination and support for state, local, tribal, and territorial governments.
