The Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE) is a professional organization based in the United Kingdom that focuses on promoting and advancing engineering excellence for the benefit of society. It was founded in 1976 and is currently headquartered in London.

The RAE is made up of Fellows, who are distinguished engineers and technologists from all disciplines of engineering, who are elected by their peers. The organization currently has over 1,600 Fellows, including some of the most well-respected and accomplished engineers
