Description


The National Institute of Cybersecurity (NICS) is a government organization located in Taiwan that is responsible for the nation's cyber security preparedness and analysis. It was established in 2012 and falls under the supervision of Taiwan's Ministry of Defense.

NICS's main objective is to protect Taiwan's cyberspace and critical information infrastructure from cyber attacks, espionage, and other cyber threats. It is also responsible for developing and implementing policies, strategies, and regulations to enhance the nation's cyber security
