Description

The SANS Institute's Nessus vulnerability scanner is a tool used to identify security vulnerabilities in computer systems. Nessus is designed to be run on a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS. The scanner can be run from a central location, or it can be deployed on individual systems. The scanner uses a range of techniques to identify vulnerabilities, including network and system scans, as well as checking for known vulnerabilities in software applications.
