The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is a government organization based in Afghanistan that oversees the development and implementation of information technology and communication policies, strategies, and programs across the country. Established in 2002, the MCIT is responsible for promoting and regulating the use of technology and communication services to facilitate economic growth, social development, and good governance.

The MCIT's vision is to transform Afghanistan into a knowledge-based society, where technology and innovation are widely accessible, and communication services
