Description


The SANS Institute offers a tool called SIFT, which stands for SANS Investigative Forensic Toolkit. This toolkit is designed to give investigators the ability to perform a variety of forensic tasks on a variety of different platforms. The SIFT workstation is a Linux Virtual Machine that is pre-configured with all of the necessary tools and data. The SIFT workstation can be run on a variety of different platforms, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
