The Agency for the Regulation and Control of Telecommunications (ARCOTEL) is a government organization based in Ecuador that is responsible for managing and regulating the telecommunications sector in the country. It was created in 2009, under the Organic Telecommunications Law, as an independent entity under the control of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society.
ARCOTEL is the regulatory body responsible for overseeing and controlling telecommunications activities in Ecuador.
 
The main objective of ARCOTEL is to promote the development of a competitive and efficient telecommunications market in Ecuador, ensuring access to quality services for all citizens.
